After first online partner meeting in 2021, the Connect2SmallPorts project kicks off its project activities for 2021 with one major objective: implementation of digital pilots in small and medium-sized ports.
So far, the benchmarking of small ports’ digital readiness was finalized and the capacity building programs (online course portfolio) including knowledge transfer events (Connect2SmallPorts Channel) are on-going activities. Now, the project will apply more efforts to develop and implement digital pilots in small and medium-sized ports.
Up to date, several pilots are under implementation in several ports of the region, namely: Karlskrona (SE), Klaipeda (LT), Vordingborg (DK), Wismar (DE) and Ystad (SE). Further pilot possibilities are on early stage discussions and elaboration, e.g. in Ahus (SE), Gdynia (PL), Karlshamn (SE), Lubmin (DE), Stralsund (DE) or Swinoujsci (PL).
In general, the project consortium is ready to utilize its available resources and capacities to support and enhance as much pilot possibilities as possible in the region of the South Baltic Sea. Thus, the open call for port participation is still open (refer to this news)!
