The third time in a row, the International Port Technology Hackathon “Portathon 2021” is co-organised by Connect2SmallPorts project. Experts, students, innovators and interested participants will come together to work on real challenges proposed by ports to find innovative solutions.
This year, the event will take place as a hybrid hackathon with physical locations in Klaipeda, Wismar and Karlskrona, being connected via a virtual platform starting at 24th and finishing with result pitches at 26th of September.
The current list of challenges can be found here and will be regularly updated by the organizers. Topics covered by the proposed challenges (e.g. by Ports of Klaipeda and Hamburg) are for example:
- Digitalisation in Logistics
- Automated Port Equipment
- Digital Port Terminals
- Smart Transport Ecosystems
- Maritime Cyber Security
In addition, the best solutions developed will be rewarded from a prize pool of 4.000 EUR shared between best teams. Mentors of the port sector will evaluate your results as well as assist you during the whole event. To register, please follow this link – REGISTRATION
