During “Smart Urban Costal Sustainability Days” organized by La Rochelle Université in partnership with EU-CONEXUS, the Connect2SmallPort project was represented by Vytautas Paulauskas from Klaipeda Shipping Research Centre (Lithuania).
Vytautas gave a presentation during the “Coastal cities and infrastructure” titled “Smart small and medium-sized ports challenges and prospects”, presenting issues faced by small and medium-sized ports and showcasing what can be gained by such ports through tailored digital solutions.
While digitalization seems like a daunting task, digital solutions have the potential of improving operation and management opening up the path to sustainable development and increasing competitiveness.
