On the 27th of September, the Research Friday, an annual competition between researchers, took place in Karlshamn, Sweden. Participants competed to make the most understandable, captivating and inspiring presentation of their research in four minutes. This year the final of the Research Friday became a battle between researchers Jesko Schulte, a doctoral student at the Department of Strategic Sustainable Development, and Lawrence Henesey, associate professor of computer science of Blekinge Institute of Technology. Jesko’s research examines how companies can work strategically on sustainability issues, i.e. on both social and environmental aspects. Lawrence Henesey talked about how to make ports more efficient with the help of artificial intelligence. The paper elaborated in the frames of the C2SP project won the 2nd place in the competition.
